Difference Between Hard Seal Butterfly Valve and Soft Seal Butterfly Valve

The Hard Sealing Butterfly Valve

 

Both sides of a hard sealing butterfly valve seal are made of metal or another rigid material. This ensures that the seal is as effective as possible. Even though it possesses desirable temperature, wear, aand mechanical properties, its performance as a sealant is subpar.

The Soft Sealing Butterfly Valve

Main Differences in Structure Between the Two

Thirdly, both types of butterfly valves differ greatly as regards the presssure load they can take. Soft sealing is suited when it comes to a low or regular pressure load, while hard sealing can also function plroperly in circumstances where the pressure load is very high.

 

4.Sealing Performance

 

Lastly, as mentioned above, soft seal butterfly valves excel as far asthe sealing performance is concerned. Yet, triple-eccentric hard seal butterfly valves also perform greatly.
